Get to know kat anderson

Kat Anderson is a U.S. Air Force veteran, political commentator, and storyteller whose work explores the crossroads of mystery, morality, and the supernatural. Her debut novel, NO REST FOR THE WICKED, will be published by Koehler Books in August 2026.

A graduate of George Washington University’s Master’s in Political Management, Kat draws on her background in leadership, investigation, and political analysis to create complex, character-driven fiction rooted in truth…and tinged with the uncanny. Her writing blends the grit of noir with the mystique of the paranormal, often set against the glowing backdrop of Las Vegas, where she now lives with her husband and two children.

Before turning to fiction, Kat served for twenty years in the U.S. Air Force, earning the Bronze Star, and later became a syndicated political commentator featured on national radio and podcasts. Today, she divides her time between writing and homeschooling her kids.

A woman with short hair, smiling at the camera, resting her head on her hand, wearing a gray T-shirt, a necklace with a cross pendant, and bracelets, with a background of a room with art and a window.

“Where dark secrets meet supernatural stakes.”

Two military personnel, one male and one female, giving each other a high five in front of a yellow sign that reads "Camp Lemonnier Djibouti, Africa". The male is in a tan uniform and the female in a camouflage uniform, both wearing hats and sunglasses.

“I write stories that live between the seen and unseen…where truth and mystery meet, and every choice has a cost.”
